民间美术是美术门类中的一个极其重要的部分，美术博物馆设置了供长期学习和研究的民间艺术展厅。石刻、木板年画、马勺面具、泥玩、皮影、剪纸、民间陶瓷、刺绣、布贴画等，无不展现着多姿多彩的民间生活，透漏着乡土艺术的奇葩异香。这些展品来自于本院教师、校友、美术界同行捐赠及学院历年的收集。展览的初衷是做好民间美术的收集、抢救、整理工作，传承弘扬民族民间艺术，营造学习研究民间美术的浓厚氛围，为促进学院教学研究及学科建设作出更大贡献。

Because folk art is a significant part in the art category, Fine Art Museum established the folk art exhibition hall for learning and researching purpose. It presents from carved stone, woodcut print, mask, to clay sculpture, shadow puppet, paper-cut, to pottery and porcelain, embroidery, cloth sticker, which all demonstrate a colorful folk life and splendid folk art. Some of the exhibits are donations from faculty, alumni and art colleagues; the others are the collections of our academy. The nature of the exhibition is collecting, protecting and researching the folk art, so as to carry forward national folk art, creating a good atmosphere of learning, teaching, research and education.
