展出全国名家校友、教授作品，其中包括中国画、油画、版画、雕塑、艺术设计、美术理论不同类别和全国美展获奖优秀作品，约150余件。

美术学

西安美术学院美术学学科在1986年即被确定为省级重点学科，2003年又成为国家第九批具有博士学位授予权的学科。多年来，本学科以西部地区传统色彩浓郁的社会生活为土壤，以拓展美术学各个学科方向的专业特色为指导，以培养具有鲜明特色的高级艺术人才为己任，开展教学及科研工作。拥有雕塑、绘画等国家级特色专业3个，国家级人才培养模式创新实验区1项，国家级实验教学中心1个。中国画教学团队被授予国家级教学团队。

设计学

作为西安美术学院重要的支撑学科，设计学已积累了60余年丰富的办学经验。是西北地区唯一专业设置齐全、师资队伍雄厚、学术水平一流的综合性设计学科。现设有现代设计艺术研究、建筑遗产保护与文化生态研究及西部民间艺术研究等四个学科方向。弘扬、传承、开发、创新中华传统艺术为其学科特色。

艺术学理论

艺术学理论学位授权点包含艺术文化学研究、视觉艺术理论研究、艺术人类学研究、书法艺术学研究四个学科方向。本学科方向人才梯队结构合理、实力雄厚，依托西部丰厚的艺术文化资源，充分发挥地域优势，综合运用多种学科研究方法和理论，通过跨学科研究，在丝绸之路艺术文化、西部民族艺术与本土文化、敦煌佛教艺术文化、西部艺术文化生态和意象美学等方面取得了丰硕的成果。在同类具有较为明显的优势和成果。

Museum of modern & contemporary masters’ work collection shows the excellent works from famous alumnus and professors of our academy, including Chinese paintings, oil paintings,woodcut prints, sculptures, designs, fine arts theories, some of them are prize-winning works of National Art Exhibition.

Science of Fine Arts

The discipline “Science of Fine Arts” of Xian Academy of Fine Arts was recognized by Shaanxi Provincial authority as a key discipline and was authorized by the state to grant the doctorate degree. For years it has engaged in its teaching and research, with the social life of western China as its soil and with training of high-calibred artists as its mission.The discipline offers 3 state-level majors of sculpture, painting, etc. It has one state experiment zone of talent training and one state experimental teaching center. The teaching team of traditional Chinese painting has been cited as a state-level team.

Science of Graphic Design

As one of the supporting disciplines of Xi’an Academy of Fine Arts, the Science of Graphic Design has accumulated rich experience in the past 60 years. It is the only first-class comprehensive design discipline in northwestern China with complete facilities, proficient teachers and top academic efficiency. It now offers 4 sub-disciplines like study of design art, preservation of architectural heritage, study of cultural ecology and study of western folk art. It is characteristic of promoting inheriting, developing and innovating Chinese traditional art.

Theories of Art Science

The awarding of academic degrees by Theories of Art Science includes 4 sub-disciplines of Artistic Study of Culture, Theory of Visual Art, Artistic Anthropology and calligraphic Art. The discipline has a rationally-structured and strong echelon of teachers. Up till now the discipline has reaped rich achievements in the study of Silk Road art and culture, western ethnic arts, indigenous culture, Dunhuang Buddhist art and culture, ecology of western art and culture, etc, by relying on the rich resources in the west, fully utilizing regional advantages and making comprehensive use of methods and theories of various other disciplines.
